Chicago-based singer/songwriter Bryce Waitkus is no stranger to writing from the heart. Having majored in psychology while attending Cal Poly, Waitkus likes to emphasize the human condition in his lyrical writing. Originally a member of the duo, “War is Over”, Waitkus transitioned to releasing his solo music as “Okay Alright” and is now turning a new page in his musical career as healer. Whereas prior projects focused on identifying and accepting struggle, healer aims at finding resolution and guiding others toward it.
Waitkus’ lyricism maintains its refreshing honesty as he explores new musical sounds. In anticipation of his debut EP, healer is releasing a series of singles in the fall that will introduce audiences to a more mature and cautiously-optimistic perspective.
